Recently, the revamping of a warehouse in the Hub was completed, which has around 37,000 pallet spaces and is equipped with 10 stacker cranes. Rollers and chains were replaced by wireless shuttles that travel on a 110-meter circuit, the loading and unloading bays are fully automated, the stacker cranes are equipped with two motors for energy recovery during braking and descent, and the positioning of materials is monitored through innovative wireless DOME cameras.
Furthermore, given the company’s experience in the logistics management of both pallets and parcels and small parts, a new mini-load warehouse was built, almost 9 meters high and nearly 50 meters long, with a capacity of 25,044 UDCs. The UDCs can contain a single item or multiple different items; in this case, the boxes will be divided into multiple sections using dividers.
